And at some point in the last 24 hours, he spoke with the Clippers, according to Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times.

The most the Warriors can offer Looney is $2,227,081 -- the amount his 2018-19 option was worth before the Warriors declined.
Golden State reached out to Looney soon after free agency opened to express interest in bringing the 22-year old back, according to Mark Medina of the Bay Area News Group.
Jerry West -- an executive board member with the Clippers -- is clearly very familiar with Looney from West's time with the Warriors.

Looney played his one year of college ball in Southern California at UCLA.
Looney averaged 4.0 points and 3.3 rebounds over 66 games (four starts) last season.
