
The Wizards have gone about filling out their second unit and opened with two moves on the third day of free agency on Sunday, acquiring guard Trey Burke in a trade with the Utah Jazz and signing 2012 first-round pick Andrew Nicholson on a four-year deal worth $26 million, league sources confirmed to CSNmidatlantic.com.
Burke, a lottery pick in 2013, is a backup point guard who has had trouble finding his footing in the NBA since joining the Jazz. He averages 12.1 points for his career but isn't very efficient. Burke has never shot better than 41.3% from the field. The Wizards gave up a 2021 second-round pick in that deal.
