"I have to leave the France team to join the Golden State Warriors who invited me to their training camp," Toubane said in a statement, via the French National Team.ย "Since the end of last season my goal is to return to the NBA. I know that if I'm in physical shape, with my experience, I have a real chance. I know the players better, I know my game better. I am better armed than three years ago.
"I would like to thank the staff of the French team and the FFBB for their understanding in this situation. Above all, I wish my teammates good luck. Hoping to find them soon in the blue jersey."
Toubane, 28, last played in the NBA in the 2016-17 season. He played four games between the Milwaukee Bucks and New Orleans Pelicans. The 6-foot-7 small forward has played 25 games in the NBA and has averaged 3.5 points per game.ย
