DeMarcus Cousins' long NBA journey will continue.
The Athletic's Shams Charania reported Sunday that Cousins will sign a 10-day contract with the Los Angeles Clippers this week, pending his clearance of the league's health and safety protocols

Cousins, 30, played 25 games (11 starts) with the Houston Rockets this season before being waived in late February. He averaged a career-worst 9.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game for the Rockets, while shooting a career-low 37.6 percent from the field. He also shot 33.6 percent from 3-point range.
The last few years haven't been easy for Cousins, a four-time NBA All-Star. He spent the 2018-19 season with the Warriors after tearing his Achilles the season before as a member for the New Orleans Pelicans. Cousins averaged 16.3 points and 8.2 rebounds per game in 30 regular season games for the Warriors, but missed 14 playoffs games with a quad injury which he hurt in the first round against the Clippers.
Cousins signed with the Los Angeles Lakers after his one-year stint with the Warriors, though he never actually played a game for the Lakers. The big man tore his ACL prior to the season and was waived by the Lakers in late February of 2020.

The Kings selected Cousins with the No. 5 pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. He quickly looked like a future star and was named to the All-Rookie Team. Cousins made two All-NBA teams in Sacramento and was named an All-Star three times as a King.
Cousins has averaged 20.8 points and 10.7 rebounds per game in his career. He last played on Feb. 17, 2021 when he scored 19 and grabbed eight rebounds in a five-point Rockets loss against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Warriors and Kings both don't play against the Clippers again this regular season.
