The Warriors' roster could look different by the end of the week. Or the exact same. Nobody really knows what the defending champions are up to ahead of Thursday's 12 p.m. NBA trade deadline.
If the Warriors were to make a sizeable move before the deadline, it likely would cost one, if not multiple young players in a potential package for a proven veteran.
Heavy.com's Steve Bulpett reported Wednesday, citing sources, that the Warriors, possibly looking to make a move before the deadline, are having an internal debate about which of their young players to make available in potential trades.
"It’s been reported here that Golden State is willing to make some of its young and promising players (Jonathan Kuminga, James Wiseman, etc.) available in hope they could get a solid veteran type in return — someone the club could count on for more consistency in the postseason and for some stability as it tried to move up and cement its place in the Western Conference seeding," Bulpett writes. "But there appears to have developed some debate within the organization over who should be made available."
Warriors youngsters such as James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody and Patrick Baldwin Jr. are some of the names that teams might request, along with draft picks, in trade packages if the Warriors were to make a move.

After an up-and-down start to his career, Kuminga has developed into a productive player off the bench for the Warriors and likely holds the most value of the four young players.
Golden State Warriors
The question of whether or not the Warriors are comfortable parting with any of their young core should be answered soon enough.
