When you’re playing with greatness, it’s good to know your place.
Warriors guard Jordan Poole only shared the floor with Steph Curry for five regular-season games as a rookie last year, so they’re still getting to know each other on the court. On Wednesday, a reporter asked Poole if it was tough to play with Curry since his movement and unorthodox playing style can be hard to predict.
“I wouldn’t say it’s tough,” Poole said with a laugh. “It’s unique, but Steph’s the greatest shooter of all time. You kind of don’t have a choice but to figure out how to play with him. If it’s hard or not, you better make it work.”

Seriously -- who’s going to complain about sharing a backcourt with Steph? Curry dropped a cool 29 points in three quarters on Tuesday and looks ready for the regular season.
The Poole-Curry duo only played together for about four minutes in Tuesday’s contest against the Kings, but teamed up for a nice sequence near the end of the third quarter. Poole started things off with a fast-break dunk before dishing out an assist to Curry, who hit a transition 3-pointer the next time down the court.

Without Klay Thompson and with the additions of veterans like Brad Wanamaker and Kent Bazemore, the Warriors have plenty of backcourt combinations to tinker with in 2020-21. Bet you won’t find anyone complaining about sharing a floor with Steph.
Especially Poole, who’s trying to make a good impression in the final year of his rookie deal before the Dubs decide his club option.
