If you needed any more proof that Dub Nation absolutely adores Jordan Poole, the Ambassador of the Bay himself helped clarify.
Bay Area icon E-40, a die-hard Warriors fan, chimed in on the trending chatter about JP after the rising star guard dropped 30 points in his playoff debut in Golden State’s 123-107 win over the Denver Nuggets at Chase Center on Saturday night.
The Hip Hop sensation joined NBC Sports Bay Area’s Warriors Live: Playoff Edition and had plenty to say about Poole’s impressive performance.

“Poole is our future,” E-40 said. “You know the first couple years I was like ‘Could that be luck?’ and then I was like ‘This dude really the one’ … He do his thing, man. We got to make sure we keep him on the team. He’s the future.”
JP, who was a part of the starting lineup for Game 1 while Steph Curry came off the bench, shot an unbelievable 69.2 percent from the field and 71.4 percent from behind the arc.
He joined some elite Warriors company as his 30 points tied Mitch Richmond (30 in 1989) for the second-most in a Golden State playoff debut in Warriors history. WIlt Chamberlain is at the top of that list with his 35 points in 1960.
It didn’t take long for NBA Twitter to go bananas during the playoff Poole party.
Golden State needs three more W’s to advance to the Western Conference semifinals. And if Poole plays like he did on Saturday, the Nuggets are in for a ride.

“Our team is so dope,” E-40 said. “All the other rappers jealous of me ‘cause I get to see the best team in history. Hello!”
Poole, 22, averaged 27.8 points in the 12 games Curry missed while recovering from a foot injury.
