Beverley joined ESPN’s First Take on Monday as he, Stephen A. Smith and JJ Redick discussed who can guard Luka Dončić ahead of the Western Conference finals matchup between the Warriors and Dallas Mavericks.
“[The Warriors] have someone who can, I wouldn’t say guard Luka, but make it hard on him,” Beverly said. “[Andrew Wiggins, the rookie…”
“Kuminga,” Smith said when he realized Beverly was struggling to remember his name.
“Cowabunga, I don’t care how you say his name,” Beverley responded.
“Kuminga, his name is Kuminga,” Smith said.
“Yeah, but he’s a rookie so I’m not going to give him his real name yet,” Beverley replied.
