Now that the Warriors' season is over and the 2020 NBA Draft officially is slated for Oct. 16, Golden State can start zeroing in on top prospects. One guard seems to have sparked the front office's interest, too.
ESPN's Jonathan Givony reported Tuesday the Warriors are "high" on what Iowa State point guard Tyrese Haliburton can do. The 6-foot-5 guard could be a younger Shaun Livingston for Golden State with tons of upside.
Haliburton, 20, is long, polished, has a natural feel for the game and a strong jump shot. Many believe he would thrive playing with stars like Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and even Andrew Wiggins right away. It's easy to see why the Warriors might be so intrigued by the sophomore.

SIGN UP HERE The Iowa State product averaged 15.2 points, 6.5 assists and 5.9 rebounds this past season. He shot 41.9 percent from 3-point range and made 82.2 percent of his free throws.
Earlier this month, the San Francisco Chronicle's Connor Letourneau reported the Warriors had Haliburton higher on their big board than LaMelo Ball. And Haliburton's college coach believes he would fit right in with Golden State.

“He’d be great [for the Warriors]," coach Steve Prohm told NBA.com's Chris Dortch. "He’s a ball mover, and he can play the 1, 2 or 3 at the next level. And he’s all about winning, all about doing the right things, a lot of the things I’ve read about what the Warriors do as a team.”
The Warriors won't know their pick until Aug. 25 at the draft lottery. If Haliburton is their guy, though, he makes a lot of sense.
