Kevin Durant tore his right Achilles during the Warriors' NBA Finals Game 5 win over the Toronto Raptors. The 10-time All-Star underwent surgery two days later, and it's possible that he'll miss the entire 2019-20 season.
So, with NBA free agency opening in less than a week, KD has a huge decision to make. If you are hoping that he leaves Golden State, then you'll like what Ric Bucher of Bleacher Report wrote Monday morning:

The two-time NBA Finals MVP very well could be upset with the franchise. You can't dismiss that whatsoever. He suffered a very serious injury and has a long road to recovery ahead of him.

"Kevin checked all the boxes and he was cleared to play by everybody involved. Now, would we go back and do it over again? Damn right. But that's easy to say after the results. When we gathered all the information, our feeling was the worst thing could happen would be a reinjury of the calf.
"That was the advice and the information that we had. And at that point, once Kevin was cleared to play he was comfortable with that and we were comfortable with that. So the Achilles came as a complete shock."

Durant hasn't publicly discussed or revealed his feelings about the entire situation, and he might not ever disclose everything that is on his mind.
Over the coming weeks and months, we'll probably learn more details. But for now, we await KD's free-agency decision, and wish him a full and speedy recovery.
