NBA rumors: Jimmy Butler calls meeting, signs point to staying with Wolves

Every day seemingly brings an update to the Jimmy Butler saga in Minnesota.

And Thursday was no different, as The Athletic's Shams Charania has the details:

Earlier today, we learned that the Timberwolves canceled practice -- the day before their preseason finale.

Minnesota's season opener is on Wednesday at the Spurs. Will Butler suit up and play? We have no clue.

Butler has a $19.8 million player option in 2019-20, and all reports indicate he has every intention of declining and signing elsewhere in free agency.
