Myers references Angelou quote in praising Steph's greatness

The Warriors' top brass have been asked dozens of times over the years to put Steph Curry's greatness into words, with a wide variety of answers emerging. During a Thursday appearance on KNBR, Warriors general manager Bob Myers referenced a quote by a legendary American poet in describing Curry's brilliance.

"Maya Angelou has a great quote, she says 'people will forget what you did, they'll forget what you said, but they won't forget how you made them feel,' as far as how he makes people feel, tell me somebody that makes people feel more," Myers said of Steph.

Curry's latest performance saw him drop 37 points as MVP chants rained down on him from the Brooklyn Nets' home crowd as the Warriors rolled to a 117-99 victory.

Steph's substitution pattern has been slightly different from past years, as Steve Kerr elaborated on earlier this week, and the results have been quite positive.

Curry is averaging 28.7 points per game (leads NBA), 6.3 rebounds and 6.6 assists on 40.6 percent shooting from behind the 3-point line. The Warriors also have the NBA's best record at 12-2, making Steph the surefire leading MVP candidate at this stage of the season.

Anyone who has had the chance to see Curry play in person, whether it be at Oracle Arena or Chase Center or another venue, always will remember the roar and impact of Steph's performances.
