Mully believes Kerr might lose sleep over pulling Steph in third

Steve Kerr might be in for a restless night after his decision to pull Steph Curry in the third quarter.

Curry went to the bench with 2:53 remaining in the third quarter of the Warriors' 116-100 loss to the Boston Celtics in Game 3 of the NBA Finals at TD Garden.

Andrew Wiggins replaced Curry after an impressive Warriors run that erased a 12-point lead at the start of the quarter.

Hall of Famer and current Warriors analyst for NBC Sports Bay Area, Chris Mullin, disagreed with the decision postgame on "Warriors Live: Playoff Edition," where he said that Kerr might end up losing sleep over the decision.

"That's one of those decisions you make as a coach and you probably don't get a good night's sleep," Mullin said. "You don't want to second-guess yourself, but I just felt that Steph was rolling so much. They took that lead away, you can just envision Steph knocking down two three within the last two minutes of that third quarter and really demoralizing the Celtics.

"But that did not happen, they've gotta move on and re-group. The good thing is, Steph and Klay [Thompson] are cooking."

When Curry left the game, the Warriors trailed the Celtics 85-83 before Boston closed out the quarter with a 93-89 lead over the Golden State.

Of course, the rest is history, but more scoring from a red-hot Curry to close out the third could have swung the momentum in the Warriors' favor enough to where the fourth quarter was closer than it actually was.
