Moody sets career-high with 22 points in first half vs. Nuggets

Moses Moody certainly took advantage of a rare opportunity on Monday night.

As the Warriors opted not to have most of their starters travel with them to face the Denver Nuggets at Ball Arena, rookie Moses Moody and a plethora of other young Dubs received plenty of playing time against the Nuggets.

The 19-year-old guard got the start for just the seventh time this season and made the most of it early on, scoring a career-high 22 points with four made 3-pointers and a driving layup at the rim.

Without Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins and multiple veterans off the bench, the Warriors' were extra thin on Monday night. What was expected to be a throwaway game turned out to be a very competitive contest in the first half and into the third quarter.

Moody certainly did his best Steph impersonation.

If Golden State can stun the Nuggets at home with their barebones squad, it'll be done -- largely in part -- to Moody's career-best performance.
