No, that wasn't a typo, and your eyes didn't deceive you. The halftime score of Sunday's game between the Clippers and Dallas Mavericks certainly looked unreal, but Los Angeles could only wish that were the case.
The Mavericks got off to a fast start and quickly built a commanding lead, holding a 36-13 advantage at the end of the first quarter, but as it turned out, the Clippers' nightmare was just getting started. Dallas further expanded its lead in the second quarter, and would end up taking a 77-27 lead into halftime.
In doing so, the Mavericks set a new record for the largest halftime lead in NBA history, previously held by the Warriors, who led the Sacramento Kings by 47 points after two quarters on Nov. 2, 1991.

As you might expect, just as the Mavericks went on to win Sunday, so did the Warriors that night at Oracle Arena. After leading 88-41 at halftime, Golden State held on for a 153-91 win, just one day after the franchise had closed the books on the "Run TMC" era. Mitch Richmond was traded from Golden State to Sacramento the day before the game as part of a package for Billy Owens and did not play. Chris Mullin led all scorers with 32 points in the Warriors' victory.

So, that's one fewer NBA record that the Warriors hold than they entered the day with. Of course, they play the Chicago Bulls on Sunday night, so there's still a chance they could break even.
