LeBron responds to Trump uninviting Eagles: ‘No one wants the invite anyway'

In the middle of a tense NBA Finals, politics has intervened.

Late Monday night, President Donald Trump announced that he had canceled the Philadelphia Eagles' visit to the White House on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, the subject was brought up during LeBron James' media session in Cleveland

"It's typical of him. I'm not surprised. It's typical of him. I know no matter who wins this series, no one wants the invite anyway. It won't be Golden State or Cleveland going," LeBron said.

After Kevin Love finished his media session, Steph Curry sat at the podium. He was immediately asked about the situation with the Eagles and LeBron's comment was relayed to him.

"I agree with [LeBron]. I'm pretty sure the way we handled things last year, we'll stay consistent with that. But at the end of the day, every team has the opportunity to make a descision for themselves, speak for themselves, and that's powerful, being in this situation," Curry told the media a few minutes later.

The Warriors did not visit the White House after winning the 2017 NBA championship due to President Trump rescinding their invitation.
