LeBron ‘praying' Klay's lower leg injury is ‘super minor'

Cross your fingers. Knock on wood. Pray to the old gods and the new.

The Warriors were dealt a frightening blow just hours before the 2020 NBA Draft on Wednesday, when it was announced that Klay Thompson had sustained a lower leg injury at a workout in Southern California.

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported the injury was to Thompson's right leg, meaning not the leg on which he sustained a torn ACL in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals. The Athletic's Shams Charania reported that Thompson couldn't put any weight on the injured leg as he was leaving the gym.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, like countless other folks, is hoping for the best for Thompson.

Thompson reportedly is undergoing tests to determine the severity of his injury. Depending on how serious it is, it could have huge implications for Golden State, not just in terms of the draft, but free agency and the future of the franchise.

It's difficult to overstate the magnitude of Thompson's pending results. For now, all we can do is wait. And hope.
