LeBron jokingly heckled Steph after missed free throw

LeBron James knows how rare it is for Steph Curry to miss one free throw, let alone two in a row.

So Curry missed a free throw attempt Saturday night in the Warriors' preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers, James decided to jokingly jab Curry to see if he could get the two-time MVP to clank two straight.

"Gimme two, I ain't never seen it," James said as Curry let his second offering from the charity stripe go.

Alas, James' wish wasn't granted as Curry sank the second free thrown en route to a 30-point performance in the Warriors' 121-114 win.

While James and Curry have a fierce on-court rivalry that is the product of four straight NBA Finals matchups, the two NBA legends have immense respect for one another.

Curry, 33, is entering his 13th NBA season and spoke Friday about trying to emulate the longevity James, who is entering his 18th season, has shown in being able to extend his prime.

"He set the standard for that," Curry said after Friday's shootaround, via ESPN. "Let's keep it real -- what is he, in his 18th year? Nine straight Finals, all the things that he's accomplished. You have a vision of sustaining your prime for as long as you can, kind of reimagining what that looks like. So you know the work that goes into it, the intentionality, especially in the offseasons, especially how you take care of your body, your mind. Balance on court, off-court."

James and Curry are both expected to be on the court Tuesday when the Warriors and Lakers play a preseason game at Staples Center.
