It's officially the NBA offseason, which means "Space Jam 2" has began filming.
Klay Thompson, Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard and Diana Taurasi are set to star alongside LeBron James, who will try and save the world from the Monstars.
As filming gets underway, the first images from the production escaped thanks to TMZ Sports. They show Klay Thompson (on crutches) hugging LeBron. Images also appeared to show Draymond Green present at filming although his role is not yet known.

James and Davis had to be thrilled Thursday as the Lakers and Pelicans agreed to expand their trade to three teams, looping in the Washington Wizards. The Wizards will get Moe Wagner, Isaac Bonga and Jemerrio Jones.
That, coupled with Davis reportedly waiving part of his trade kicker will allow the Lakers to have $32 million in cap space when free agency opens June 30.

How will the Lakers use their cap space? It seems like they will target Kawhi Leonard or D'Angelo Russell, but anything is possible in NBA free agency. Of course, James is in full recruitment mode so expect him to try and grab Thompson's ear if he can.
Despite the torn ACL, Thompson would be the perfect fit alongside James and Davis once he's healthy.
Meanwhile, "Space Jam 2" hits theaters in 2021.
