Draymond Green has two years remaining on his five-year deal with the Warriors.

Neither needs to sign a new contract with the Warriors this summer. But owner Joe Lacob stated Friday that the team will try to lock up both anyway.
"All good things cost a lot. We're going to try to sign Klay and Draymond to extensions this summer. They've earned the right to do whatever they want; maybe they want to wait until free agency. I can't control that. But we'll do whatever we can to keep them," Lacob told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.
With Thompson entering the final season of his four-year, $68.9 million contract, his future has been a hot topic of discussion.
His father Mychal, joined Greg Papa, Garry St. Jean and Kelenna Azubuike on Warriors Playoff Central following the Warriors' Game 3 win in Cleveland and had this to say about when Klay will sign his extension.

"I think we're going to wait until [2019]. Klay is not going anywhere. The Warriors aren't going to let him leave, so stop being so anxious. He's going to sign his extension next summer," the elder Thompson said.
