Irving originally underwent left knee surgery on March 24 and was expected to miss up to six weeks max.
Boston has been hit very hard by the injury bug this season.
Gordon Hayward was lost for the year about five minutes into the season opener.
Daniel Theis sustained a season-ending knee injury in mid-March.
Golden State Warriors
Marcus Smart tore a tendon in his thumb and it's unclear whether he will be available for the playoffs.
Despite all of this, Boston is going to be the 2 seed in the East.
You might as well just give Brad Stevens the Coach of the Year trophy right now.
But more importantly -- we won't see Kyrie in uniform again until next season.
And that is a massive bummer.
