Despite Klay Thompson dropping a game-high 34 points in the Warriors' 123-107 win over the Boston Celtics on Saturday, another moment stuck with the 32-year-old.
Speaking with reporters after the game, Thompson explained why blocking Celtics star Jayson Tatum less than two minutes into the game stood out to him.
"I thought I was good there in the beginning, felt really good to pin somebody off the backboard," Thompson said postgame. "I haven't done that, I think, in four years, so that was probably my favorite moment for myself."

Although the Warriors star lit up the basket in the rematch of the 2022 NBA Finals, shooting 14-of-26 from the field and 4-of-11 from 3-point land, it was Thompson's all-around play that caught the attention of those watching.
Thompson also had five rebounds, two assists, and two steals along with the aforementioned block on Tatum, an MVP frontrunner this season. The 32-year-old also played stellar defense throughout the rest of the game, helping hold Tatum to only 18 points on 6-of-21 shooting.

With Steph Curry and Thompson combining for 66 points in the Warriors' win, fans have to be glad to see the latter beginning to look like some semblance of himself, before his two lower leg injuries.
Should Thompson keep up this level of play as Golden State embarks on a six-game road trip, fans are hopeful that there will be more moments like the one he alluded to in the coming weeks.
