Klay Thompson has witnessed plenty of memorable Steph Curry performances, but he never will forget what the Warriors star did in Game 7 against the Sacramento Kings.
Golden State secured a series-clinching 120-100 win over the Kings on Sunday at Golden 1 Center behind Curry's magnificent, record-breaking 50-point performance.
In speaking to reporters after the game, Thompson was asked what it's like playing alongside Curry when he is at his best. Even for Thompson, who has had a front-row ticket to enough historic Curry performances to last multiple lifetimes, Sunday's Game 7 was one he never will forget.
"It's the best, especially when you have an off night yourself," Thompson said. "Or the team, no one really shot it particularly well except for Steph. There's a reason he's a two-time MVP, Finals MVP, it's because he pushes us over the top in moments like this and when he's in the zone like that, you try to get him in his spots, get him the ball, get out of the way.
"Gosh, what an incredible performance. This is a Game 7 I will forever remember as the 'Steph Curry Game.' He's just a joy to watch and play with. I really truly enjoyed sharing the backcourt with him."

Thompson, along with numerous other key Warriors teammates, struggled against the Kings on Sunday. The Warriors guard scored 16 points, grabbed five rebounds and shot 4-of-19 from the field and 2 of 10 from 3-point range.
Fortunately for the Warriors -- and to nobody's surprise -- Curry did everything he could to keep Golden State's season alive.
