Klay Thompson has never seen a shot he didn’t like -- not even after he goes scoreless in the first half and misses all three of his 3-point attempts.
That shouldn’t be too surprising by now, but even in the Western Conference finals, Thompson made it clear: He’s always looking for his shot.
Thompson rebounded from an 0-for-4 first half to finish with 15 points on 7-of-13 shooting in the Warriors’ 112-87 Game 1 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday.

The Warriors didn’t need “Game 6 Klay” on Wednesday, with stellar defense keeping the Mavericks at bay throughout the game. But Thompson was glad he ended up shooting over 50 percent.
Thompson told reporters that getting a couple of cuts to the rim and a transition basket was enough to ignite his shot.

“I’m glad I had an efficient night,” Thompson said. “I never feel good when I go home and I shoot inefficiently, so I was very happy with my shooting percentage tonight. I didn’t have a field goal in the first half, but that will never discourage me. I will always hunt my shot.”
Thompson is streaky at times, but as he hinted, shooters shoot. And looking at the box score, nobody could tell that he went into the locker room at halftime with zero points.
