Trayce made his Cubs debut on Sept. 14, and earned his first start on Sunday. He went 1-for-3 with the solo shot, a walk and a strikeout and stole a base in Chicago's 6-4 win against the Milwaukee Brewers. The younger Thompson brother now has three walks and two stolen bases as a Cub.

The Cubs are the fourth franchise he has played for in the big leagues. He made his MLB debut at 24 years old in 2015 as a member of the Chicago White Sox. That was his first of two stints with the White Sox, and also has played for the A's and Los Angeles Dodgers.
