Kevin Durant's restaurant in Oklahoma City closes

Kevin Durant no longer plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

And his restaurant in Oklahoma City, "Kd's," is no longer open.

"We’re excited for changes at our restaurant," the Facebook page says. "After the last few years of serving delicious, Southern-inspired cuisine, Kd’s is closing for the next few weeks as we make improvements to our space and reimagine our concept.

"Don’t worry; we’ll be keeping the menu favorites our guests love. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for updates!"

The restaurant opened in 2013.

“Our restaurant has become a tradition for many in our community for an evening out or to celebrate a special occasion, which is an honor we don't take lightly. We know our guests, we listen to them, and we think they'll be really pleased with this transition.

"We plan to maintain the majority of our current menu, and there's no doubt our famous fried chicken and other favorites will be back.”

Durant reportedly owns a 25 percent stake in the restaurant.
