Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving reportedly are about to become teammates in Brooklyn.
The duo will sign with the Nets, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Sunday afternoon.
Back in March 2018, the two-time NBA Finals MVP was a guest on The Bill Simmons Podcast and said the following about Kyrie:

SIGN UP HERE "He made me a believer last year. I liked Kyrie, but when we played against him [in the 2017 Finals] I'm like 'Oh sh--. This guy is a king hooper.' Tell me somebody in the league that can do what Kyrie Irving can do.
"Tell me. Or in the history of the game that can do what he can do ... playing against him in The Finals made me realize how damn good he is."
That's some serious praise.
KD averaged 35.2 points, 8.2 rebounds and 5.4 assists against the Cavs in the 2017 Finals, while shooting 55.6 percent overall and 47.4 percent from deep.

Kyrie averaged 29.4 points and 4.4 assists on 47.2 percent shooting during that series.
They probably won't take the court together until the 2020-21 season, as Durant is expected to miss all of next season because of his ruptured right Achilles.
