Kevin Durant will be at Warriors-Nets game at Chase Center on Thursday

Editor's note: This piece originally was published Tuesday night, before the Warriors announced Wednesday that Durant will not, in fact, be in attendance Thursday at Chase Center.

Contrary to earlier reports, Kevin Durant will be there when the Warriors host the Brooklyn Nets at Chase Center on Thursday.

Nets interim coach Jacque Vaughn told reporters that Durant would remain with Brooklyn throughout its current road trip following a road win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night.

Durant was at Barclays Center for the only other Warriors-Nets game this season, and sat on Brooklyn's bench while watching his current team defeat his previous one by 41 points on Feb. 5. He shared a big post-game embrace with Steph Curry afterward, and it appears he'll have the chance to do so again on Thursday.

Whether or not there are fans in the stands to show their appreciation for the two-time Finals MVP remains to be seen, due to the coronavirus.
