Kevin Durant's status for Game 5 of the NBA Finals is still unknown, but Warriors coach Steve Kerr had a big announcement Sunday.
Durant will practice with the Warriors on Sunday and get extra work in with some of the younger players on the roster before Monday's Game 5 at Scotiabank Arena, Kerr said.
"What he's doing today, he hasn't done. He's doing more today, and then we'll know after that," Kerr told reporters in Toronto.

Durant has been sidelined since straining his right calf on May 8 in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Houston Rockets. Monday will mark his 10th straight game missed.
“I know how badly he wants to play. He’s one of the best competitors I’ve been around," Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson said to reporters.
The Warriors have gone 6-3 without Durant in the playoffs, but all three losses have been in the NBA Finals. With their star forward still nursing his injury, the Warriors are on the brink of elimination going into Game 5 against the Raptors.
Prior to his injury, Durant was dominating in these playoffs. Over 11 games, he was averaging 34.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.9 assists. The two-time NBA Finals MVP was shooting 51.3 percent from the field and 41.6 percent from 3-point range.

“He will be very welcomed," Thompson said. "He’s propelled us to two championships. It would be pretty storybook if he could do the same.”
