Knicks fans really, really want Kevin Durant to leave the Warriors and come to New York after this season. To no surprise, the team's front office feels the same way.
According to Frank Isola of The Athletic, Durant is the Knicks No. 1 target in free agency. The Warriors' star forward has a player option after this season and will almost certainly opt out.
“Everyone says Knicks,” said one prominent NBA player agent to Isola.

SIGN UP HERE What Durant wants in free agency is something the Warriors can give much more of to Durant than the Knicks, and that's money. Durant says he wants to "make sure I get as much money as I can on my next deal" when he hits free agency.
The Warriors are the only team that can offer Durant a five-year max contract, meaning he could make up to $30 million more staying in Golden State than anywhere else.
When the Warriors played the Knicks in New York earlier this season, fans tried to woo him with a billboard, but he didn't seem too impressed.
"No disrespect, but I’m not really impressed with that type of stuff. I just really like playing basketball," Durant said after seeing the billboard in late October.

It seems the consensus is Durant will either stay in the Bay Area or leave for the Big Apple. The Knicks could be appealing to the two-time NBA Finals MVP, but so is building one of the greatest dynasties in sports history.
