With Klay Thompson's return imminent, one of, if not the greatest shooting backcourt in NBA history will be reunited in time for yet another Warriors championship run.
The Warriors reportedly are targeting an early to mid-January return for Thompson, who has missed the previous two seasons with two major lower leg injuries.
With Golden State's Thursday night game against the Nuggets postponed because of COVID-19, the Warriors held a scrimmage Friday in Denver before facing the Utah Jazz on Saturday night.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr joined 95.7 The Game's "Damon & Ratto" on Friday, and discussed how much he enjoyed seeing the Splash Brothers play together again.
“It was really fun," Kerr said. "I don’t want to say it was emotional because we were in an empty gym and there wasn’t any fanfare to it. But for all of us who have been around the team for so many years and have known Steph and Klay as well as we have, it was just really cool to see them on the floor again for the first time in two and a half years.
“It’s crazy what [Klay] has been through, and thinking back to the Finals in 2019, when he was at the absolute peak of his powers before that injury, it’s remarkable to think about what he’s been through, how far he’s come, and we’re all just so happy that he is where he is now.”
After the scrimmage, Thompson discussed how special it was to play alongside Curry again.
"Man, it was really, really special," Thompson told reporters. "My shot was short, my breath was short, but after the first five minutes, the jitters were gone. Just playing basketball again and getting to go up and down with these guys, I haven't had many opportunities to do that, and that was a ton of fun. It made me realize how special this group could be."

Each week, Thompson's return gets closer and closer, and fans become more and more anxious to finally have the band back together.
Soon enough, Klay's return in front of the home crowd will provide a huge boost to a Warriors team already atop the NBA standings. Now that's a scary thought.
