The Warriors enter the 2020 NBA Draft holding the rights to the No. 2 overall selection.
They could end up packaging the pick in a deal that nets them an established star, or they could trade down and still select somebody in the lottery.

"This has been a fun year for me to really delve into the draft and the prospects," coach Steve Kerr told reporters Wednesday. "I've watched a lot of tape. Very excited.
"We're gonna get a really good player (with the No. 2 overall pick). There's plenty of talent. There's always talk if a draft is weak or strong or whatever, but nobody really knows until a couple of years later.
"But there's no doubt that we're gonna be able to bring somebody in who is very talented. And then it'll be up to us to help him get better."

Kerr's comments make it sound like the Warriors are not planning on parting ways with the second pick, but it's very safe to assume that the organization hasn't made any determination one way or another.
The draft is not until Nov. 18, and teams won't get serious about potential trade scenarios until the league makes an announcement regarding the 2020-21 salary cap and luxury-tax line.

Additionally, Golden State's front office still is gathering intel on the top prospects, and trying to learn as much as possible before formulating final opinions.
Furthermore, is Kerr still intimately involved with the front office's preparation for the draft?
"Yeah, yeah. We interviewed one of the prospects yesterday," Kerr said. "I was part of the interview. I'm jumping in where I can.
"We are hopeful that as soon as the draft happens, we can get right to work with the player that we draft. But it's really up in the air at this point still. We don't know how the league is going to handle that."
