When the Warriors needed it most on Tuesday night, Kelly Oubre delivered. The embattled swingman poured in 19 points on four of eight shooting from 3-point range and pulled down six rebounds as the Warriors held on for a much-needed home win over the Milwaukee Bucks.
With the Warriors trailing in the final seconds, Oubre was fouled by Brook Lopez and drilled a pair of free throws, giving the Warriors a 122-121 advantage. Following the victory, Warriors coach Steve Kerr reflected on the effort from Oubre when it mattered most.
"Kelly was huge for us," Kerr told reporters following the win at Chase Center. "But yeah Kelly, those two threes were big. And those two free throws, those are tough, game on the line, it's not easy being up there. He took on a big defensive role as well, so great night for Kelly."

Those two threes Kerr is referring to came earlier in the fourth quarter, twice answering a triple from Bucks star Jrue Holiday.
Oubre also showed his defensive prowess off when Bobby Portis tried to put him on a poster, but the long-armed forward was having none of that.

Oubre's public comments about not wanting to be a bench player for the Warriors next season when Klay Thompson returns to the lineup made the rounds this week after former Warrior Andrew Bogut expressed on his podcast that an unnamed "Warriors player" took major exception to it.

The forward called "cap" on the reported discontent within the Warriors' locker room, and there didn't seem to be any of that tension on the floor Tuesday night. Even with reigning two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo out, the Warriors still were facing one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference.
After a brutal road trip that saw the Warriors go winless on the East Coast, Tuesday was as close to a must-win as the Warriors have had all season.
Oubre's play down the stretch was a huge part of securing that victory, and he delivered another prime example of his value on both ends of the floor.
As Kerr emphasized, the Warriors certainly needed it.
