Moses Moody is developing right in front of our eyes.
Over the past five games, the Warriors rookie is averaging 13.4 points and three rebounds per game on 60 percent shooting from the field and 50 percent from the 3-point line.
The No. 14 overall pick has remained patient all season, waiting for his time to shine on the court. And while some Warriors players have been out, he’s certainly taken advantage of the opportunity.

“We’ve been talking about Moody in our coaches’ meetings every day for about six weeks because we’ve seen it coming,” Kerr said on 95.7 The Game’s “Damon and Ratto”. “In practices, in the G League games that he’s played, in his demeanor and his instincts and his questions.”
Just last week, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Gary Payton II and Otto Porter Jr. all were ruled out of Monday’s game vs. the Denver Nuggets.
Golden State leaned on its youth, and they didn’t disappoint.
Moody finished with a career-high 30 points in just over 36 minutes. Jordan Poole finished with a team-high 32 points, including eight triples.

“He’s 19 going on 28,” Kerr said on the podcast. “This guy is just so mature and he’s got a great size and he shoots the ball so well. I saw it coming, but it probably took a little more time to allow it to happen just because of the changes that were already happening with our team, with the injuries, [Jonathan] Kuminga playing more. It had to be the right time and now it seems like the right time for Moses.”
Moody’s patience has definitely paid off, and in desperate moments, the Warriors have been able to rely on the 19-year-old.
