Kerr believes Warriors have four known starters entering season

When the Warriors open the regular season Dec. 22 or Dec. 23, who will be in the starting lineup?

Steve Kerr believes he knows four of the five guys who will take the court for the opening tip.

"I mean, it would be hard for me to not see Kelly [Oubre] and Andrew [Wiggins] starting on the wings," Golden State's coach told reporters Tuesday afternoon. "Obviously Steph [Curry] and Draymond [Green] will be starting.

"I suppose there's a chance as we get a glimpse of everything that we might decide we need to change the rotation, change the starting group. That's always a possibility.

"But my mindset going into this season is that those four guys would be our starting group, then we'll see with the center spot."

The Warriors clearly are not planning on just giving James Wiseman -- the No. 2 overall pick in last month's draft -- the job from Day 1.

It sounds like Marquese Chriss or Kevon Looney definitely have the opportunity to open the season as the starting center.

Kerr has options because the Warriors bolstered their roster this offseason.

"On paper we would appear to have pretty good depth," he said. "We have some players who we feel like can absolutely fill roles.

"It all has to fit together. The pieces have to fit. We've got to find the right rotations and patterns and all that stuff. A lot of work ahead, but it is exciting to think about what we're working with this year."
