Kendrick Perkins shares his side of incident with Steph Curry

It may have been the incident that fired up Steph Curry and led to his huge fourth quarter in Game 2.

With a few seconds remaining in the third quarter, the Warriors inbounded the ball in front of the Cavs bench. Curry caught the ball, faked out LeBron James and fired off an errant 3-pointer. As he fell away, he bumped into the legs of Cavs inactive player Kendrick Perkins.

Curry was not pleased and had words for Perkins. The 6-foot-10, 270-pound player-turned-cheerleader stood up and towered over Curry.

Curry had words for Perkins before LeBron and Tristan Thompson nudged Curry away from the Cavs bench.

"Much ado about nothing," Curry told the media after Game 2.

According to ESPN, multiple Warriors players were "disturbed" by Perkins unwillingness to move his legs.

Hield ‘disappointed' in NBA 3-point contest runner-up finish

Silver unlikely to be swayed by Curry's officiating suggestion

On Tuesday, The Boston Globe asked Perkins what happened.

“I was just sitting there and he landed on my leg. And he was standing over my leg and I don’t understand what people want me to do. He was like, ‘What you on?’ and I’m like, ‘What you mean what I’m on?’ I’m sitting over here,” Perkins told The Globe's Gary Washburn.

According to The Globe, it's the third incident involving Perkins this postseason.

“I don’t know why people keep wanting to pick battles this way. Might want to choose that [expletive] wisely, man, [rather] than [bleeping] with me. I don’t think I’m the problem that they want, though, might want to pick another battle,” Perkins said.

Perkins signed a player contract with the Cavs on April 10 and played in the final game of the season.
