Ja leads ‘Grizz in seven' chant after huge win over Dubs

The Warriors were one win away from closing out the Western Conference semifinal playoff series in five games in Memphis on Wednesday, but the Grizzlies had other plans.

And after the Grizzlies handed a 134-95 defeat to the Warriors, Ja Morant shared his own series prediction.

“Grizz in seven! Grizz in seven!” Morant chanted into the microphone to the hyped-up crowd at FedExForum.

Morant, who has missed the past two games, is listed as doubtful for the rest of the playoffs with a bone bruise on his right knee.

Still, he remains confident in his squad, which posted a 20-5 record playing without him in the regular season. Now, they try to keep their postseason alive.

The Grizzlies faced elimination going into Game 5, but they came out with an energy the Warriors seemed to lack all four quarters and finished the night singing and dancing on the court.

Sloppy play, a ridiculous amount of turnovers and too many missed shots from Golden State made it easier for Memphis to force a Game 6.

Morant and the Grizzlies will probably be griddying all night, but they’ll be back in San Francisco on Friday for another big game at Chase Center.

The Warriors may have played ugly basketball on Wednesday, but the Grizzlies have a long way to go if they want to make Morant’s series prediction come true.
