The Warriors dragged into Minneapolis in the wee hours Thursday morning but found enough game to lay a 129-116 beating on the promising young Timberwolves on Thursday night at Target Center.

With Steph Curry scoring 46 points -– his third game of at least 40 points this season –- to lead the way, the defending champions were wire-to-wire winners in pushing their record to 10-0, the best in franchise history, San Francisco and Philadelphia.
Four other Warriors scored in double figures -– all starters -– as Draymond Green put in 23 points, Klay Thompson had 15, Harrison Barnes finished with 14 and Festus Ezeli added 10.
The Warriors (10-0) were clobbered on the glass, 47-33, but offset that aspect by pouring in a season-high 18 3-pointers on 38 attempts beyond the arc. The Timberwolves (4-4) made only three treys in nine attempts.
The Warriors started fast, building a 16-poing lead in the first quarter and pushing it 18 in the second quarter. Minnesota came back, cutting the margin to as little as five (104-99, 7:36 remaining).

But the Warriors, behind Curry, were able to hold off the young Timberwolves.
STANDOUT PERFORMER
The honors, once again, go to Curry, whose personal-performance dial is set on “amazing.”
The reigning MVP poured in 21 points in the first quarter -– his fourth 20-point quarter this season. He scored his 46 points on 15-of-25 shooting, including 8-of-13 from beyond the 3-point stripe. He added five rebounds, four assists and two steals over 38 minutes.
Green had yet another in a series of fine all-around games, adding 12 assists and eight rebounds to his points total.
TURNING POINT
After Nemanja Bjelica drained a 3-pointer, pulling Minnesota within six (114-108) with 5:11 to play, the Warriors responded with a 7-2 run to go up 121-110 with 3:27 left.
The Timberwolves got no closer than eight the rest of the game.
INJURY UPDATE
Warriors: G Leandro Barbosa (family matter) is not with the team. F Kevon Looney (hip surgery) remains out indefinitely.
Timberwolves: G/F Andrew Wiggins (R knee soreness) was listed as questionable but played 35 minutes. G Ricky Rubio (L knee/hamstring soreness) was listed as questionable but did not play. C Nikola Pekovic (R Achilles surgery) is listed as out.

The Warriors were scheduled to return to the Bay Area late Thursday night and will return to action against the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night at Oracle Arena.
