The Warriors survived a second consecutive poor shooting night – the Pistons brought serious defense, particularly considering they’d played Sunday night at Portland – by cranking up the defense in the fourth quarter and pulling away.
The Warriors during that final quarter got into their transition offense, making 12-of-20 shots (60 percent) and put away Detroit (5-2), which was led by Reggie Jackson’s 20 points and 14 points and 15 rebounds by center Andre Drummond.
Center Andrew Bogut made his first appearance since opening night and played well, coming off the bench to contribute 8 points and nine rebounds.

Thompson in the third quarter drained the 800th 3-pointer of his career.
TURNING POINT:
After a Marcus Morris jumper pulled Detroit within four (82-78) with 9:33 remaining, the Warriors responded with a 10-0 run to go up 92-78 with 7:19 left.
The run was ignited by a Barnes 3-pointer, after which Shaun Livingston and Barbosa combined for 7 points to punctuate the rally and force a Pistons timeout.
Detroit got no closer than 12 the rest of the way.
INJURY UPDATE:
