Instant Replay: Warriors go off, Curry splashes 11 3-pointers vs Hornets

OAKLAND -- Completing a season-series sweep for the second consecutive game, the Warriors scorched the Charlotte Hornets 126-111 Wednesday night at Oracle Arena.

Stephen Curry poured in 39 points, Klay Thompson scored 29 and Kevin Durant added 18 as the Warriors went up early and coasted to their fourth win in a row.

The Warriors (42-7) made a season-high 21 3-pointers, with Curry and Thompson combining for 17. All 13 men played and all 13 got on the scoreboard.

Draymond Green and JaVale McGee, who started at center, each blocked four shots.

Frank Kaminsky came off the bench to score 24 points to pace Charlotte (23-27) on offense.

The Warriors beat the Hornets for the second time in eight days to sweep the two-game season series. The Warriors on Sunday finished a four-game season sweep of the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Splash Brothers owned the night.

Curry’s line: 39 points (14-of-20 shooting from the field, including 11-of-15 from deep), eight assists and five rebounds. He played 30 minutes and finished plus-25.

Curry also passed Rashard Lewis to move into 12th place on the all-time list of 3-pointers with 1,792. Kobe Bryant is No. 11, with 1,827. Curry now has eight games with at least 10 3-pointers, an NBA-best.

Thompson’s line: 29 points (10-of-19, 6-of-10, 3-of-3), a season-high eight assists and five rebounds. He played 33 minutes and was plus-30.

TURNING POINT

The Warriors were in command from the opening tip, going up 15-5 with 8:58 left in the first quarter and 29-9 with 6:11 in the quarter.

They led by as much as 32 in the second half, and never were threatened.

INJURY UPDATE

Warriors: G Shaun Livingston (mid-back strain) was declared out shortly before tipoff. C Zaza Pachulia (R rotator cuff strain) and F/C David West (L thumb fracture) were listed as out.

Hornets: C Cody Zeller (R quad contusion) was listed as out.

WHAT’S NEXT

The Warriors left Oakland immediately after the game for Los Angeles, where on Thursday night they face the Clippers at Staples Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:35.
