Game 1 of the NBA Finals was a back-and-forth battle between the Warriors and Boston Celtics.
The Warriors outscored the Celtics in the first and third quarters, and Boston outscored Golden State in the second and then closed out the game in the fourth after outscoring the Warriors 40-16 in the final quarter, winning the game by a final score of 120-108.
Not only did the Celtics win Game 1 in enemy territory, but they also made history while doing so.

Boston became the first team to win an NBA Finals game by double digits after being down by double digits in the fourth, per ESPN Stats Info.
The Warriors were favored to win the game when they took a 15-point lead toward the end of the third quarter, so much that the Celtics’ win probability fell as low as 4-percent at that time.
And even though the odds were against them, Celtics first-year head coach Ime Udoka never lost faith in his team.

But as Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said, it’s the first team to reach four wins, and the Warriors certainly don’t have their heads down as they will get ready to bounce back for Game 2 on Sunday.
