Andre Iguodala isn't a popular person in Memphis and he heard it from the Grizzlies fans in attendance at FedExForum on Monday night.
Playing in his first game since Feb. 7, Iguodala was showered with boos when he checked in with just over three minutes remaining in the first quarter. When Chris Chiozza found Iguodala in the left corner, the fans once again booed the 2015 Finals MVP.
A man who has played in six NBA Finals isn't going to be phased by a few boos. Iguodala calmly knocked down the corner 3-pointer, giving the Warriors an early 16-13 lead. He gave a little shrug after draining the shot.

Iguodala is a villain in Memphis not because of something he did on the court but rather for the fact that he didn't play for the Grizzlies when he was traded there in the summer of 2019 when the Warriors were shedding salary.
After Kevin Durant left the Warriors in free agency, Golden State needed to shed salary, so they traded Iguodala along with a top-4 protected 2024 first-round draft pick to the Grizzlies for Julian Washburn.

Initially, there was word Iguodala didn't want to play for the Grizzlies, who weren't the Western Conference contenders they are now. He later told The Athletic's Sam Amick that he never stated he didn't want to play for Memphis.
After sitting out the first few months of the 2020-21 season, Iguodala was traded by the Grizzlies to the Miami Heat in a three-team trade also involving the Minnesota Timberwolves.
But several Grizzlies players weren't thrilled with the assumption that Iguodala didn't want to play with him.
More than two years later, it's clear Grizzlies and their fans still have animosity toward Iguodala.
