Iguodala has perfect Myers joke after adding tools from Heat

The Warriors will welcome the new-and-improved Andre Iguodala back to the court for the 2021 season.

Yes, you heard that correctly. Iguodala is back, and he's learned a thing or two from his two seasons with the Miami Heat.

Iguodala sat down with NBC Sports Bay Area's Kerith Burke last week at Warriors Media Day and revealed that he's since added to his metaphorical tool belt and is looking forward to applying what he learned to help the Warriors contend this season.

“On the court, I think there’s going to be some surprises," Iguodala said. "I found some things in Miami that was a totally different approach that I will be forever grateful for. Did some things with the shooting that was really helpful, some things with the game planning that I can take with me.

"I stored a lot of things in the [tool belt] that I thought was full," Iguodala said with a laugh. "I thought I've seen everything, but being there, I saw some things where I was like ‘I’m stealing that, I’m stealing that, I’m stealing that,’ and ‘thank you' on the way out. … Those things are going to translate to a lot of success and a lot of wins here, along with what was already put in place."

After signing with the Warriors for the veteran minimum back in August, Iguodala is motivated to play well above expectations and provide general manager Bob Myers and the Warriors with some found money.

“I’m going to make sure Bob [Myers] gets executive of the year with vastly underpaying me,” Iguodala said.
