Iguodala doubtful for Warriors-Suns rematch on Friday

Andre Iguodala likely will miss both Warriors games against the Phoenix Suns this week.

While the Warriors already had ruled Iguodala out for Tuesday's marquee game in Phoenix as the veteran forward deals with swelling in his right knee, coach Steve Kerr said he doubts the 37-year-old will play Friday when the two top teams in the Western Conference meet in San Francisco.

If Iguodala indeed sits out Friday's game, it would be the eighth straight contest he has missed.

Iguodala traveled with the Warriors on their current two-game road trip to Los Angeles and Phoenix, and Kerr said last Friday that Iguodala would get some on-court work in during the trip.

In 12 games this season, Iguodala is averaging 3.8 points, 3.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 20.8 minutes.

The last game Iguodala played in was on Nov. 16 in the Warriors' blowout win over the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center. He finished with five points, four rebounds, two assists, one block and was a plus-10 in 19 minutes of action.

Kerr also said last Friday that Iguodala's injury isn't a long-term concern, and the Warriors know that as long as the 2015 NBA Finals MVP is ready to go for the stretch run and the playoffs, there's nothing to worry about.
