Steve Kerr last Friday afternoon indirectly sent a message to Eric Paschall.
"The biggest thing that I'm on him about every day is his defense," Kerr told the media. "He's got to get better -- especially as a weakside defender. I think he's gotten better on the ball -- we're seeing him put pressure on people (and) use his length.
"But he's gotta get better off the ball and recognize patterns, our schemes, and be a better weakside help defender."

Paschall responded Saturday night with some excellent defense in the Warriors' preseason win over the Denver Nuggets.
The All-Rookie First-Team selection from a season ago led the team with seven rebounds (all defensive) in 23 minutes. Paschall also scored eight points (3-for-7 FG) and dished out three assists.

The 24-year-old is expected to start at power forward in Golden State's final two preseason games this week vs. the Kings as Draymond Green remains sidelined.
Paschall will come off the bench when the three-time NBA champion returns to game action, but should have a major role all season.
