Klay Thompson hasn’t played a minute for the Warriors this season, but he still remains a key part of the squad.
The beloved Splash Brother sat next to Steph Curry and Draymond Green in the Warriors’ official 2020-21 team photo, which was released Wednesday.
Making it even better? Thompson was rocking a yellow headband.

Headband Klay was born on Oct. 29, 2018, when Thompson set the NBA record by nailing 14 3-pointers against the Chicago Bulls wearing a headband after cutting his forehead. Thompson said he felt empowered like Jackie Moon, the fictional headband-wearing Will Ferrell character in the basketball comedy "Semi-Pro."
The Warriors are looking forward to having Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins on the wing next year alongside Curry in the backcourt. But this is probably the only time we’ll see Klay in a Warriors uniform this season.
It begs the question, though -- would Thompson be wearing a headband if he was playing this season?

It’s also worth noting that injured rookie James Wiseman is in the middle of the team photo, supporting himself with crutches after undergoing knee surgery on April 15.
The Warriors are gearing up for the play-in tournament and a likely date with the Los Angeles Lakers, but it’s hard not to think about next season when you look at this photo with Thompson and Wiseman.
