In the 1980s and 1990s, everyone wanted to be like Mike.
Nowadays, everyone wants to be like Steph Curry, including Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.

"I look like Steph out here," Giannis said. "I look like Steph out here. I look like Steph out here."
The 2019 game was the second year the NBA conducted a draft to decide the All-Star rosters, and Giannis happened to be one of the two captains, along with Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.
LeBron took then-Warriors forward Kevin Durant with the No. 1 overall pick, and Giannis countered by taking Steph.
With the game in Curry's hometown, he wanted to put on a show. Steph and Giannis famously combined for this incredible play.
Giannis and the Warriors have been linked together dating back to right around the 2019 All-Star Game when a report surfaced that Golden State was considering making a run at the Bucks forward if Durant left in free agency.
Durant eventually did bolt for the Brooklyn Nets, and the Giannis-to-Warriors train has picked up speed.

After the Bucks and Warriors played in January, Steph and Giannis met up after the game and had a fun exchange that set NBA Twitter on fire. In the Bucks locker room that night, Giannis had a signed Curry jersey sitting next to him.

The rumors have persisted, and Thursday, when Giannis' Twitter account was hacked, a tweet was sent indicating he was going to the Warriors. Obviously it wasn't real, but the NBA world is so aware of the whispers that a hacker tweeted that Giannis was coming to the Bay Area.
Will Giannis and Steph end up becoming teammates? Time will tell, but it's clear the two NBA MVPs have a fondness for each other.
