Curry, known for chewing on his personalized rubber mouthpiece, apparently left one behind during an unspecified road game in December, according to SCP Auctions. A fan, who was sitting close to the Warriors bench, picked it up and took it home.
On Sunday morning, that game-chewed mouthguard was sold in an online auction by SCP. The winning bid was $2,658. With the 20 percent "Buyer's Premium" the auction house applies, the winning bidder forked over $3,190 for the (mouth)piece of memorabilia. SCP posted the photo below with the auction.

Curry's mouthguard (not the one that sold) took the spotlight during Game 6 of the recent NBA Finals. After picking up his sixth foul of the game, Curry argued with referee Jason Phillips, and in a fit of rage, flung his mouthguard. It hit Andrew Forbes, the son of Cavaliers minority owner Nate Forbes, in the first row. Curry was assessed a technical foul for the throw.
“Yeah, I’ve thrown my mouthpiece before. I usually aim at the scorer’s table. I was off (with my) aim,” Curry told reporters after the game. “I definitely didn’t mean to throw it at a fan. But it happened. I went over and apologized to him because that’s obviously not where I was trying to take my frustration out.”
