Ex-Warriors coach Mark Jackson believes he will coach in NBA again

The Warriors hired Mark Jackson as head coach in June 2011.

After three seasons, Golden State fired him within days of the team's Game 7 loss to the LA Clippers in the first round of the 2014 NBA Playoffs.

Former Warriors forward Andre Iguodala last June said he believes Jackson -- who has not coached since -- has been blackballed by the NBA.

Does Jackson agree with the 2015 NBA Finals MVP? He answered that question during a guest appearance on Showtime's "All the Smoke" with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson:

"I'm a guy with tremendous faith. I'm not gonna slit my wrists if I never coach again because I believe what the Bible says -- as far as if you do what you're supposed to do, it's a promise from God that he will not withhold any good thing from you.

"So if I'm not coaching, that means it's not good. As long as I'm doing what I'm supposed to do, I truly believe that the day will come when I have the opportunity to walk the sidelines again and lead a basketball team.

"For three years in Golden State, I had the time of my life impacting players, developing relationships and changing a culture. I truly was blessed to do that and I look forward to the opportunity to do it again.

"I don't believe that no man can blackball me. That door will open up and the opportunity will present itself. I'll be locked and loaded and fully prepared."

Okie dokie.

Jackson -- a New York native -- has been linked to the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets.

Both franchises do not have permanent head coaches in place, so it's possible Jackson gets his chance again soon.
