Very early Wednesday morning, The Athletic's Shams Charania reported that Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul has entered COVID-19 health and safety protocols and is out indefinitely.

Young was on the 2017-18 Golden State squad that outlasted the Houston Rockets in the 2018 Western Conference finals. Paul missed Games 6 and 7 of that epic series after injuring his hamstring late in Game 5.
As for the present day -- Paul tested positive for COVID-19, according to ArizonaSports.com's John Gambadoro.
The Suns, who will face the Utah Jazz or LA Clippers in the West finals, announced that an update on Paul's status will come Saturday.
The 36-year-old was named All-NBA Second Team this season, and averaged 25.5 points, 10.3 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals in the Suns' sweep of the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference semifinals.
